(67,782 posts)...they paid their "journalists", it was kind of like those newspapers you find in the supermarkets next to the Pennysaver, etc.
Actually, I think he thought he was sending that essay to Morgan Freeman, not Vermont Freeman.

(2,792 posts)I'm not sure how capable he is of addressing the working class, if he has never been part of it. His positions are based on theory, rather than on direct experience. His relationship with life itself appears to be academic. He could hardly be called a "people person."

Thank Zeus he won't be the nominee, so it won't happen, as much as the Republicans want it to so they can sink their fangs into him.

Sanders clashes with California radio hosts in interview
http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/281528-sanders-in-heated-interview-with-california-radio-hosts
By Jessie Hellmann
Bernie Sanders got into a heated back-and-forth with two California radio hosts Thursday when they questioned him about his public service.
Sanders called out the hosts of the "John and Ken" show on KFI radio for interrupting him several times before abruptly ending the interview.
The interview, first reported by Buzzfeed, began with one of the hosts quizzing Sanders on his experience with creating jobs..................
"I'm not really clear on what kind of jobs you've had, besides Senator," the host said.
Sanders responded that he served in the House and was mayor of Burlington, Vt., for eight years

(3,450 posts)So anyone that is in government whether elected or not that person has no job - at all?
Yet the same involvement in government by others is said to confer relevant experience required for higher jobs? This is a weird argument to make - and foolish argument, nonetheless.
