Bernie's Biography.

Go to youtube and look at some of Bernie's videos. There is one in particular that has gotten the Republican's attention. He is speaking to a college class. He describes how excited he became when Castro overthrew the Cuban government and said it was this revolution that triggered his involvement in politics.

A few years after the revolution, the Cuban Missile Crisis occurred. Castro had become best buds with Khrushchev, the premier of the Soviet Union, during the height of the Cold War. Recall that Khrushchev in a speech said to the United States, "We will bury you."

With Castro's full support, Khrushchev built nuclear missile sites in Cuba with the capability of killing one third of the US population. When the US discovered the sites, the US experienced one week of moves and countermoves between JFK and Khrushchev.

It was the closest the world has ever come to nuclear war.

Think for a moment what the Republicans will do with that if Bernie were to be the Democratic nominee.

Research Bernie's support of the Sandinistas. Or his service as a presidential elector in a socialist organization that calls for the public ownership of all industrial means of production. Think what the Republicans will do with that.

I lectured on the Cuban Missile Crisis in MBA classes at a private university for many years. I have also researched Bernie's biography. His biography is one reason why I will not support him. Because he would be unelectable in the general election and he would take the Democratic party down with him.

If you think this is all hogwash, ask yourself: Why does Bernie not talk about his employment and relationships with organizations before he was elected Burlington mayor? Hillary talks about her early adult life - her work for minority and women's rights and establishing the Children's Health Fund, for example. Bernie? Not a peep. Why? He knows there are parts of his past that are political kryptonite.

He also knows that he's been very lucky in that there's not been a peep from other parties who have this information.

Hillary has all this information but she hasn't used it. Why? She doesn't want to anger his supporters.

The media have it but they're not using it. Why? They want a horserace that = higher ratings, more clicks and more $$$.

The Republicans have it. But they've not said a peep about Bernie. While they spend millions on anti-Hillary ads. They want Bernie in the GE and they're keeping their powder dry.

But Bernie's luck would end in the GE once the Republicans launch their assault.

I have much respect for Bernie and his movement. But he's been given a free pass, and I'm not willing to sacrifice the party for him.

I appreciate your perspective and you may be right.
We'll never know if you are...but this has been a crazy election cycle. Who could have imagined Trump actually winning the nomination. But I'll say HRC is a very weak candidate. Perhaps after she wins the nom and can go after Trump as she likes, the polling will get better. It's pretty scary...I have spoken to some Republican leaning friends and they won't vote for Trump.

12. I take umbrage at the notion that Hillary is a weak candidate...

Sure she's got some historical baggage but let's not lose sight of the fact that it's been the never ending republican smear machine that packed those bags.

She is undeniably the.most.thoroughly.vetted.candidate ever.

She has more executive branch experience than any candidate ever - as First Lady and as Secretary of State. There is virtually no learning curve to come with her presidency.

Add in two term senator and the exposure to the mechanics of running a state while First Lady of Arkansas. She's seen governance and politics in action from so many angles.

And Gallup, at the end of 2015 saw Americans vote her our country's most admired woman for a record TWENTIETH time.

How does that POSSIBLY add up to "weak"?

4. Absolutely! The press is most to blame for this total lack of vetting. They love to Hillary bash

and act like Bernie has a chance to be the nominee. If they actually thought he had a chance to win the nomination, they would have done their jobs and vetted him. Even when he won the first couple of primaries, they treated him like he is golden. I thought the "front runner" got the most scrutiny? Whenever one of the many GOP candidates won a primary, the media zeroed in to vet and scrutinize. Why was Bernie treated with kid gloves? Of course he has low negatives in polling. The press acts like he is perfect in every way.

9. I especially liked his involvement in anti-USA protests

Where fellow protestors were chanting things about wanting the people in the US - to die. Not exactly a glowing high point for someone who claims to want to be President. And you do know there is a photo of ol' Bernie in the Mayor's office with a certain type of Flag hanging on the wall.

Look at his BIO after being Mayor. It gets even more odd (if that's even possible). I don't have time to list everything. His backroom deals. How he fucked over the Left's Movement to stroke his own ego.

I don't have any respect for Bernie or his movement. None. His plan to break up the Big Banks, of which he can't explain how this would be done, started out as a desire to turn the operation of Banks over to the Federal Government.

This Primary Season has been like watching a Fellini Movie on LSD. The Trump Sanders Debate thing was definitely a good intro to Bernie's Swan Song and certainly fits the Fellini Movie Script.

since they hit a big nerve with most Americans, particularly those who were aware of politics back in the late 50s, early 60s.

The only bittersweet thing about Hillary clinching in 10 days is that BS will never be vetted.
