Can this be believed? Trump has shown he knows nothing about national security or terrorism, or much of anything except business deals.
He is a textbook case of Narcissistic Personality Disorder. He talks only about himself, brags and boasts constantly. Imagine him in the Oval Office as President (with access to the nuclear codes)!
What are these people polled thinking?

(7,820 posts)Or the appeal his "screw the establishment" message has. Yeah, he's ridiculous, but we've elected ridiculous presidents before. Don't know if this poll is to be trusted, but there are a lot of frustrated, low information potential voters out there who will buy what he's selling.

(38,402 posts)I notice that term often on Twitter. But I think most often it's conservatives calling us libs "low information," presumably because we don't watch Fox News!

(15,438 posts)and he just had a blockbuster hit movie come out. He also said all the right things (won't raise the auto registration fees; will head to Washington D.C. to talk to his "family friend", Bush, and "get out money back!" (Ca has always paid more to the Federal gov't than we get), and he was a mega-mega-film star.
Trump has none of the above going for him.
It's just another skewed poll bought and paid for by people who fear Hillary Clinton's candidacy.

So, these results might not be especially reliable. Don't panic.

(15,438 posts)Brace yourself for more bought-and-paid-for polls that are conducted by her adversaries who fear her, and who are doing every dirty trick in the book in order to bring her numbers down, just as they had for President Obama.

(297,323 posts)Just LIKE they did for President Obama!
We've seen this bad movie before.

(4,309 posts)Trump is certain to self-destruct. I think he'll say something stupid that will put him out of the running any day now.
When you look at Hillary's experience, record and views, she is clearly the best choice.

(8,159 posts)And he wins, it's time to get out of here. If we can find a place safe from him.

(1,307 posts)I am sure his numbers will fall but for him to even be in the running, let alone leading a poll, says so much about this country. It also speaks volumes about how the media controls every aspect of this country. They are aided by low information voters who are too stupid to give a shit.

SurveyUSA shows Trump Winning the Presidency: ROF Explains Why this and all polling is now Hogwash
SurveyUSA, a national political survey company, conducted a poll on September 2 and September 3 of 1,000 U.S. adults. SurveyUSA claims that Donald Trump is beating Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden in head-to-head matchups. Corporate media is running with this survey to show that Donald Trump is the real deal, Americas next President. The Republican Party is dancing in the streets. The problem is the results of the survey are absurd, and yet no one in corporate media is questioning it.
What is the problem with the survey? The most obvious is that it doesnt pass the smell test when you look at the results. This should be the very first clue that something went wrong in the surveying techniques. Specifically, SurveyUSA shows Trump winning 25% of black voters and 31% of Hispanic voters. This is absurd. In the elections of 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012, blacks voted for the GOP candidate 9%, 11%, 4% and 6% of the time, respectively. Yet, SurveyUSA wants us to believe that black voters have suddenly decided that Trump is worthy of 25% of their support.
