Former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm (D) is giving the pro-Clinton group Ready for Hillary a boost.
Granholm, a favorite of grassroots liberals and a longtime Clinton supporter, is lending her name to the organizations first small-donor fundraising push since its creation.
Im not just ready for Hillary Im rarin to get going on her campaign, Granholm says in an email, which will likely be sent to supporters of the super-PAC Thursday afternoon. This isnt just about electing the first woman President, or putting forward our strongest candidate to keep the Republicans from enacting their extreme social agenda. We all know who the best person is for this job in 2016, and we need to do everything in our power to put her into office.

(68,644 posts)I got to sit down and chat with her about career eduction two weeks ago in Anchorage.
She's dynamic, witty, would be a GREAT president herself except that she was born in Canada.
Is Hillary running for certain or is it too soon to tell?

(55,147 posts)But there are many people throwing their support behind her to get her to run.
As for Jen Granholm I have some family in Michigan & they miss her dearly. As for myself. I think shes got it going on.

(30,250 posts)Hillary is a pragmatist. She'll probably wait until after the midterms and then decide.
There are various factors to consider:
1) Does she really want it (the fire in the belly thing).
2) The state of her overall health.
3) How will it affect her family (particularly Chelsea).
4) The state of the economy.
Hillary will not run if she doesn't feel that there's is a realistic chance that she will win.
Hugs to you and the pooches.

(30,250 posts)I'm so sorry about your dad. My condolences. I'm sorry about your mom too. So you now got both pooches at home? That's nice for them.

(8,515 posts)Hillary will be great, even if she cuts her tenure short after four years. It is up to her. She is brilliant and strong physically and mentally, and has experience and qualifications like no other. We should be careful not to "shoot outselves in the foot, when we have a difficult race to win.

(30,250 posts)Hopefully Hillary will want to run on her own and won't need to be drafted. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
