Hillary Clinton Nets $1M at Christina Aguilera's Beverly Hills Fundraiser (Exclusive)

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/hillary-clinton-nets-1m-at-837312?facebook_151105

"Raising more than $1 million for her presidential election campaign in one night, Hillary Clinton was greeted Wednesday evening by a star-studded crowd at a Beverly Hills fundraiser hosted by pop star Christina Aguilera and her fiancé, producer Matthew Rutler.

Katie Holmes, Muse singer Matthew Bellamy and former 4 Non Blondes singer Linda Perry (who wrote Aguilera’s hit song “Beautiful”) were among the celebs who mingled with Clinton on her fifth fundraising trip to Los Angeles. Also spotted in the crowd: Gangster Squad actress Ambyr Childers and her husband, Lone Survivor producer Randall Emmett, singer/actress Christina Milian and legendary music exec Irving Azoff.

Clinton opened her remarks by telling the crowd that she is inspired by Aguilera’s song “Fighter” and plans to fight for “everyday Americans.”

She also told the gathering that the Republicans are "persistent" and it's important for Democrats to be "vigilant and active" on key issues, such as voter rights, women's rights, gay rights and immigration reform. She joked about how she mailed all the Republican candidates a copy of her latest book. "There are so many of them, they could form a book club," Clinton said."

When you think critically about it (if you can) you might realize that coming to the Hillary forum to disparage her, might actually seem sadly desperate. I am not calling you desperate or sad. I'm just pointing out that someone who is sad and desperate would do exactly what you are doing.

We are happy that Hillary can raise the money she needs so that she can represent us. She will need these people's money and good will to beat whatever republican she will be running against next year.

I've been able to keep myself out of other candidate's groups, much less post in them. I don't even have to trash them. I just tell myself I'm a grown ass woman who can play well with others.

I also wonder how, though their numbers will be small, large donations to the BS campaign will be justified.

There were about 6 threads on the Woz when he tweeted support for the Bern. Here's one: http://www.democraticunderground.com/1251563970#post9

The Elon Musk/Tesla Bernie wrap threads are always amusing too.

And his supporters are going to act the way they do and say the things they say because they have fallen in love with a big loser.

I just prefer it when they stay out of here. They have taken over the rest of the site and they stomp around it all day long trying to explain away the world's indifference to Bernie. If I want to feel sorry for people I can go to "The Greatest" column and read how sure they are that his TV ad will convince the nation that he is some kind of messiah.
