But there are also issues with NGP/VAN. There is no one (myself included) who has worked on a campaign that hasn't had some VAN issues.

VAN is tough to use. I think the problem may be the large number of people using it and updating it constantly.

I don't know the answer to fixing VAN. But it sure is better than compiling your own lists, election after election. We used to do it that way.

Hillary's data was walking through a really bad part of the firewall that evening, and was wearing a security skirt that was far too short and way too tight.

It deserved to be wrestled into the alleyway, have its permissions changed, and be copied for forty minutes. Really, I blame the data.

may be more widespread than we currently know. I don't think the fallout has been cauterized just yet.
