(10,176 posts)during the Clinton administration, it was just awful. If he had just refused to work with the Republican congress he could have idealistically gotten nothing done, but he would have been pure enough for some at DU. Winning elections matters and too many progressives are eager to make the perfect the enemy of the good.

Thanks for posting this, Tommy. We all need reminders of what the Big Dog achieved.

(1,307 posts)It went on about Clinton's failed Welfare Reform then I looked at the above list.
Higher Income Levels with the bottom 20% saw an increase of 16.3% over his presidency
When is the last time we have seen the middle and bottom see an increase in their incomes? It's been steadily going down since the Clinton's failed presidency. We need 8 more years of this kind of failure.

(30,058 posts)failed policies. Best years of financial gains I have ever had. Oh, BTW, the last person who lost both Iowa and NH primaries was Bill Clinton, we see how this turned out. He ran against Paul Tsongas and Jerry Brown.

(6,283 posts)... when I went to work in construction in 1992. For almost 10 years I had to work every week except Christmas and a few other holidays. Got laid off for a whole two weeks around 1997. Then around 2001 2002, I started getting unwanted layoffs for one or two months at a time and 3 or 4 times a year. Believe me I did not enjoy those forced vacations.(sarcasm) If this is failure, then we need more of it. Go Hillary 2016 and beyond.
