Hillary Clinton Is One of the Most Ethical (and Most Lied About) Political Leaders in America

If the headline of this piece blows some minds, you can thank three decades of relentless lies and smears by the conservative attack machine and its mainstream media enablers, who have labored to create an aura of corruption around Hillary Clinton. Hillarys detractors on the right, left and center reel off a laundry list of unsupported accusations with an air of absolute authority, as though it is simply a given that she is a terrible, horrible, no-good human being.
And that is precisely the intention: Taint her through innuendo and guilt-by-association, throw enough dirt at her that voters develop an instant negative association with her name. Accuse, accuse, accuse until the accusation becomes the reality, and may the truth be damned.

(32,623 posts)If I did that -and nothing else in my life at all but that? I'd call it a life well lived. The Clintons call it a Tuesday.
Of particular interest in that op:
No wrongdoing has been settled yet.

(58,785 posts)I love your point, and so true. Growing up, Hillary wanted to live a meaningful life in public service, but she had no idea just how meaningful it was going to become. I'm afraid that if even one child could hear because I lived... Donations here and there make my husband and me a part of big efforts, but such a tiny, tiny part.

(30,058 posts)Disqualify Hillary or Bill Clinton and furthermore it sure does not qualify another candidate. A candidate can only use their own record to show their abilities but it is time to deliver, climb up on a record built by the candidates.
Hillary is the most qualified candidate running.

(381 posts)It's true Hillary and Bill are two of the most maligned people on earth. The right wing has attacked them mercilessly and the media have for the most part gone along. They made up scandals and convinced the public that there was some substance to their bullshit. However, a good portion of the perception that they are corrupt comes from the fact that they are. No, Hillary is not a terrible, horrible, no-good human being. She is just a compromised politician who can be and has been bought. For decades she was for government single payer healthcare. Now she says that is an unworkable fantasy. I'd say that too if they would pay me tens of thousand dollars per hour to give a speech. Her relationship to wall street, corporations and the billionaire class is the problem. They have given her tens of millions and if you think they get nothing in return you are dreaming. She represents the monied interests who bought her. Still, I will concede, she is better than all of the other republicans.

It is remarkable - and should be unbelievable! - that as hunted and hounded as Hillary is she could 'get away' with this level of 'corruption.'
Which is why it is much more probable this speculation and innuendo is all BS!
