(11,588 posts)He is reportedly "overall in good health", though suffers gout, the manifests of high cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia), hypothyroidism, diverticulitis, skin tumors, acid reflux, and is prone to laryngitis (aggravated by the reflux). Since this is all taken out of his charts and assembled to support the "overall" good health note, and as someone who can read, I see a summary of some difficult health challenges--most of these can make doing his job difficult. It is hard to spin this in the positive, but the doctor and the Sanders campaign did. I guess the qualifier is the conditional "overall" the doctor put in.
We can add to that that Sanders is six years older than Hillary Clinton who is in "excellent" health according to her doctor. She, too, suffers hypothyroidism, and has been taking a blood thinner since she had that concussion that caused her to have a brain clot as a precaution. Basically there is nothing to interfere with her job in any way.

(17,055 posts)That's enough for the school nurse to allow you back to school. Not enough to be accepted as medical records for anyone running for president. wth??
(Trump's doctor's letter still cracks me up. It sounds like something that Trump wrote himself, then bribed his doctor to sign.)
