Hillary Rodham Clinton Meets Her TV Counterparts

Fiction met reality on Wednesday night when Hillary Rodham Clinton chatted with Julianna Margulies and Sigourney Weaver, who have both portrayed television characters based largely on the former first lady.

Mrs. Clinton, bejeweled in a sparkly black version of her signature pantsuit, sat at the center of a lengthy table at a starry TriBeCa charity event hosted by the fashion designer Michael Kors. Next to Mrs. Clinton was the Vogue editor Anna Wintour. Across the table sat Hilary Swank, Bette Midler, Jennifer Hudson and Iman.

Mrs. Clinton has been picking up a plethora of awards since she left the Obama administration in February. The event on Wednesday night was a benefit for God’s Love We Deliver, a nonprofit that delivers meals to people too sick to shop or cook for themselves.

Earlier Wednesday night, Mrs. Clinton recalled her time as a New York senator in a somber speech to accept an award from Voices of September 11th, an organization founded by family members of victims of the 2001 terror attacks. On Tuesday night, Mrs. Clinton sat by Elton John and Matt Lauer at Cipriani on Wall Street, where she picked up the Founders Award for her work on AIDS.

But if she does not I will still admire her for all of her accomplishments.

Top notch law school, top notch mother, top notch First Lady, top notch senator, top notch Secretary of State and top notch person. Go Hillary. Thanks for the post, I had no clue who was sitting next to her till I read the snippet. They use their fame to raise money and draw attention to great causes. That is awesome.
