Very pretty, though I saw a lot of pollen blowing around in wake of the trees going crazy from finally getting rain. I came home, took an Allegra, and sacked out for an unplanned nap.

And pollen is not code for anything, it was really pouring off the trees today.

The ornamental pear trees are leading the pack with frothy white blossoms, but the jacarandas (my favorite) are still bare. My loquat tree has blossoms and fruit all over it. The hummingbird stands on the topmost twig of the bare apricot tree next door and squeakily proclaims his masculine claim on the territory like Trump beating his chest, but in the bird's case, adorably. The crows are out in packs like Republicans, murderous and obnoxious. The other day they were chasing down a pair of hawks, and I hope the hawks got away.

It's all gorgeous, but alas, I think the rain is over for the year.
