Slow and steady won Clinton the debate

https://www.bostonglobe.com/opinion/2016/02/12/slow-and-steady-won-clinton-debate/IpTG0vSD1lTs4wOpJeTZGK/story.html

Nice op-ed from The Globe. Of course, posting anything positive about Hillary risks an alert-stalk and/or sour grapes - even in a protected forum. But I'll take my chances.

It also underscored what is destined to become one of the central questions of the Democratic campaign: What, exactly, is realistic for progressives to expect to accomplish in a deeply divided nation?

Sweeping systemic leaps, Sanders insists, if only voters rise up and demand it. Smaller steps that consolidate and build upon the victories of the Obama administration, Clinton asserted.
...
Sanders, by contrast, seemed something of a one-note Bernie, focusing as much as he did on Wall Street and returning again and again (and again) to that theme.

On manner, Clinton also carried the day. She was conversational and pleasant, even when going after him. Sanders, by contrast, occasionally seemed something of a sour pickle.

I keep thinking about things such as presence and credibility among the US's international peers as well as all the domestic issues she will work to accomplish.

Prez O has set a very high standard and it will be difficult for anyone who follows him.

the actual debate, and I will watch the whole thing, but I saw this coming during the past few debates. I have yet to decide but I think Hillary's experience makes her the most reasonable choice. I respect Sen. Sanders, what he has to say is of utmost importance and he has been a fair negotiator in Congress. I just think Sec. Clinton has the full world view having been in the positions she has held since being FLOTUS... at this point. I have months before my state's primary to watch what happens out in the rest of the country. Since I live in a red yet fluctuating toward purple state, my vote isn't going to matter in the GE so the primary will count for my vote.

Still deliberating but will surely vote the D nominee regardless of who ends up in that position.
