(1,238 posts)Her favorability is continuing to drop the longer she's in the spotlight. Her Republican rivals are still pretty much unknown, which could go both ways... this could be another election like 2000.

(28,270 posts)Americans will recoil in horror from the republican jihad on freedom and Hillary will CRUSH them in the polls!

(5,954 posts)But that's something that will work AGAINST them. Believe me, once people take a close look at the people in the Conservative Clown Car, Hilary Clinton's point spread over them will only increase.

(28,270 posts)Compared to all the bark at the moon, loony toon teahaddists in the republican clown car.
The reich wing has been attacking Hillary and Bill for decades, if they really had dirt/illegalities it would have come out years ago.
All the republicans have is fear, hate and lies, their standard MO and it will not stop Hillary from making history as the first female president, ever!

(33 posts)Republicans have been "crying wolf" for many years about non-existent scandals. People just don't believe them anymore.

(5,954 posts)I just see people around here hating Hilary Clinton for the same reasons they've always claimed to hate her. But I haven't really seen anybody parroting the talking points from Roger Ailes' latest faux scandals. That's something, at least.

(5,954 posts)For THREE SOLID WEEKS the right wing echo chamber (Fox News in particular) ran the Clinton Cash, Uranium 1 story from a book that had yet to be released. Since the book had not yet been released, nobody could really tell what was in it, or how solid the reporting was (it wasn't, obviously), and so viewers just had to take the word of the author and those who were spinning the faux scandal.
Meanwhile....the Clinton Campaign SAID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to 'defend' themselves.
Those were IDEAL CONDITIONS to see just how effective their attacks on her will be. They had three weeks to spin a scary-sounding faux scandal that hit every available button (national security, the Russians, Putin, Clinton corruption etc.) without the ability of anybody to fact check their story; while the Clinton camp did absolutely nothing to counter the argument.....and they succeeded in driving her favorability ratings down by TWO POINTS. Congratulations.
Once she starts actively campaigning, and once a real GOP contender has been identified, the point spread in Hilary Clinton's favor will only widen.
