Looks like Snopes' expert witness spent the earlier part of the day harassing Dolores Huerta in the line to caucus:
https://vid.me/MOGL
Now also on YouTube:
But I'm sure that had nothing to do with being biased or anything later when she stated that Huerta was making stuff up.
obamanut2012
(26,094 posts)She has been horrible on twitter for weeks now, just beyond snide and bullying, much like in this video.
Huerta is, without exaggeration, a civil rights icon. She's given her life to fight the good fight.

(32,342 posts)A truly horrible person.

(27,985 posts)I couldn't even watch the whole video in the OP. The way she kept going on about, "how could you not know she gets millions from Wall Street? And Monsanto! GMOs!!" I knew how the rest would go and bet the word "oligarchy" was said repeatedly. I wonder what her DU name is.
Starry Messenger
(32,342 posts)Triggered total anger. Yes, I wonder that too!

(51,621 posts)No, Susan, he voted against the entire Kennedy 2007 immigration reform bill. I couldn't keep watching after that. She was being so rude to Huerta, yelling and laughing in her face. What a despicable human being.
Starry Messenger
(32,342 posts)And they say *we* start this stuff? Huerta was classy enough to not mention that SS got in her face earlier when Snopes used SS as a source.

(32,342 posts)Bored with trolling AA?
JimDandy
(7,318 posts)And I don't troll AA. My family is mostly White, including me, with some Blacks and Asians. AA issues have been a long-time concern of mine. I was one of the DUers on the original thread in the Obama Support group that called for the starting of the group. Unless the AA group is now not allowing anyone to post there unless they themselves are Black, I have felt it appropriate to express my views there also.
But, a few days ago, I finally had to trash the group, for now, because, instead of it being a forum to discuss positive ideas about serious issues like: how to encourage the hiring of Blacks and the issuing of government contracts, at all levels, to minority and women owned businesses, or if anything can be done to ameliorate the harmful SCOTUS affirmative action decisions, or getting a consensus on what the top issues should be to focus on in the area of prison reform (arrest warrants for debts?/solitary confinement?), or even election protection issues, an area I have worked in a long time (sued the Lieutenant Governor of my state and mostly won the decision), it has devolved into a support group for one single political candidate. I think, in this very polarized environment, it would have benefited the AA group to have had a rule that posts in support of or opposition to a specific candidate should be posted in their respective groups and not in AA, but that's just my .02 cents.
In any event, this post on Susan Sarandon would be useful to discuss in GDP, if you feel so inclined to repost it there.
Starry Messenger
(32,342 posts)night in there. I like my hair parted the way it is.
I don't post in AA about my candidate unless asked about her, but notice you were quick to post when yours is under discussion. The forum is about AA issues, and the Black posters are the best judges of what topics are fair game. I follow the lead of the other hosts about what rides the line. There is hardly any consensus in the AA forum on a primary candidate, so you are speaking an untruth.
Now you have moved on to policing ideas in here? This is the HRC forum and a safe space for us, or it should be. You have no need to be in here. You have had no comment on the disgusting behavior of the actress in the OP on a civil rights hero. I guess you won't either.
JimDandy
(7,318 posts)not in any way disrespect the group and when I did notice, simply asked that the discussion be reposted.
What is your point?
Do you go around disrespecting a national icon by insulting his/her intelligence and lying to their face? Not a winning idea.
Cha

This will not end well for her.
My money is on Delores Huerta.. Sarandon wanted ralph freaking nader for cripe sake.. now she's yelling for berni.. thinking she's going to change people's mind's with her aggressive bullying tactics.

(19,240 posts)making her just as responsible for the war for oil in Iraq than any single senator. Anyone who knew the Project for the New American Century knew that Bush intended to take us to war with Iraq and then Iran (the Pentagon pulled the rug out from under him before he could go after Iran in 2005). Did Sarandon study the Project for the New American Century before she declared Gore the same as Bush?If she did, then she took a political position that was obviously false, presumably to further her own career. If she did not, then she had no business proclaiming herself a political expert. The same goes for Nader and Michael Moore.
I think that Sarandon's publicist has told her that she will get more roles if she promotes herself as "edgy". This is all about her career and nothing to do with the lives of ordinary working class people. Sort of like how Kate Moss revitalized her career by admitting to using cocaine.

but the way she is treating Huerta here is just such a fucking turnoff .

(1,968 posts)I don't know about L'Oreal, but American-made cosmetics (and soap, for that matter) must use synthetically-created mica.
For two reasons; synthetic mica does not suffer from the slave labor problem, and it doesn't have the heavy metal impurities like lead and cadmium that can seriously screw up your year.
I use micas in homemade soap sometimes. It all comes from an American factory that creates it from scratch.
