Anyone should know better than to try to play a prank with even the lightest reference of death involving a presidential candidate, but a man named Don Schubert didn’t.

Don tried to place an obituary notice for Hillary Clinton on Saturday and ended up having a run-in with the secret service.

via Las Vegas Review-Journal:

The man, who identified himself as Don Schubert, was asked to leave the newspaper building’s lobby after he filled out a standard obituary form identifying the deceased as Hillary Rodham Clinton, and listing her date of death as Feb. 20, 2016, the date of Saturday’s Democratic Party presidential caucuses. Previously he had called the newsroom to complain about the coin flips that determined the outcome of some Iowa caucuses last month.

The man was seen leaving the RJ parking lot in a maroon Toyota Prius bearing several Bernie Sanders campaign stickers. A security guard said he was also wearing a Sanders sticker on his shirt. The official Sanders campaign website lists “Don Schubert’s House” in Long Beach, Calif., as the site of a volunteer phone bank.

Newspaper security officials reported Schubert to the Secret Service.....

You just made me think, the unrelenting hate and vicious attacks. I fear for her. I was terrified for Obama as well, just never voiced it.

I hope the SS already have this covered. I hate voicing my fears, MADem. When Obama got out of the car and walked at the 2008 inauguration, I silently screamed, please get back in the car.

I am not sure who will be hated more, the black man or the woman. Yet the hate is escalating.

Actually, she's not all that short, she's around five five or six, I guess -- but the SS agents tend to be fairly tall and this is regardless of gender. That is helpful in protecting her, because their job is to get between any danger and her and take the heat if needs must.

He drove all that way to do something exceedingly dumb
Guy seems to have a lot of time on his hands
He does something similar, he may find he has a lot less free time
Prison can limit the amount of free time he has

Apparently, he decided that if people think Hillary died overnight because they read her oblt in the paper, they won't bother to go to the caucuses. Not dangerous (except to democracy), just incredibly idiotic.

He may want to look up Mel Carnahan - who really did die during his 2000 Senate campaign, and still won the election.
