Top Minnesota newspaper endorses Clinton.. Whoa!

Minnesota’s largest newspaper endorsed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton

for president, adding to the Democratic candidate’s momentum after an overwhelming win in South Carolina’s primary on Saturday.

We believe Clinton is the clear choice over Sanders for heart and head alike,” the Star Tribune editorial board wrote.

The editorial board cited Clinton’s “fight to overhaul health care” to show she is “capable of setting big, visionary goals and tackling complex policy.”

“Clinton also has repeatedly shown the patience and discipline to work with opponents on compromises that result in degrees of progress,” the editorial continued.

In contrast, the editorial board called Sen. Bernie Sanders

(I-Vt.) a “polarizing” figure who “has fallen short on just how he would accomplish his political revolution.”

Clinton, however, “proposes changes that are less sexy but more realistic.”

Endorsement: Hillary Clinton, who's both visionary and realistic

She shows the patience and discipline to work with opponents toward progress.

Where Sanders threatens to bust up Wall Street and big banks, Clinton proposes changes that are less sexy but more realistic: Shifting capital gains incentives to favor long-term investments, tough prosecution of wrongdoers and imposing greater accountability all could provide needed change while avoiding wholesale disruption that could threaten an economy that shows signs of fragility. Among the more intriguing proposals: a tax credit for companies that offer profit-sharing on top of wage increases.

It is not surprising at all that another corporate media backs the wholly owned corporate candidate. The real surprise is if they would back the candidate of the people, Bernie.

are not important. The Important People are the ones who are so vastly superior that they simply must tell us how to vote, and by damn we better listen or they will call us names, denigrate the states we live in, and threaten not to vote at all if their candidate isn't on the ballot.

"This is a testament to the fact the actual democratic voters are not buying into the right wings lies, the negative hype, and are seeing her for what she is.

A true leader and champion for the country!"

Unfortunately for Bernie, the bloom has left the rose, while our "girl's" strengths are shining through.

The kids do not nor do they care not about the corporate media - they follow the anti-Hillary sites like AlterNet, CommonDreams, DailyKos, DailyBeast, MotherJones, The Nation, Salon who has at least four anti and hateful Hillary columns each and every day.

MoveOn.org which ironically was formed to oppose the impeachment of Bill Clinton is now dead set against his wife.

I was told by a White Millennium yesterday that Hillary couldn't possibly be the nominee because Bernie rules on the internet. He forgot there are Millennials of color, casino workers and AA's and others who don't spend 24/7 on the net viewing the endless anti-Hillary memes riddled with misinformation and hate and then passing it on to others on their Facebook feeds.

They absolutely rule the internet in regards to trashing anyone who dares endorse or compliments Hillary on their Facebook page -sparing no one their wrath including victims of gun violence.

... was purchased by Glen Taylor, owner of the Timberwolves. He also purchased a local paper 'City Pages' and turned that hard-hitting, honest news weekly into a fluff rag.

Being endorsed by the Star/Tribune means about as much as being endorsed by the Pioneer Press; its meaningless. If the Strib thinks Bernie is "polarizing", I wonder what its editorial board thinks about Tea Party candidates or republican congress people serving under President Obama. Certainly "polarizing" is not used on a daily basis to describe 'reality'.

Anyhoo, I plan on voting for the Democratic nominee. Whether Hillary or Bernie, as a good liberal, I'm sure I will be equally disappointed by whichever one wins the presidency.

has been down this road. This equates to tax reform which equates to furthering our already too lenient tax code that benefits the wealthy. Who else can even afford long term investments? And the good old "promise to compromise". More of the same.

I delivered this newspaper for years as a kid. The StarTribune editorial board thinks Sanders is a polarizing figure for going after Wall Street banks and the 1%. How exactly do you they think change occurs? FDR, Johnson, Martin Luther King were all polarizing figures to the people of wealth and privilege in this country.
