Hillary Clinton
Related: About this forumSince HRC is going to be our nominee, which states are going to be the battleground states?
There's a core of Red states which we will have no chance of winning and there will be a core of blue which will stay blue but which ones are most likely going to be up for grabs and where we may want to start focusing on?

to see NC within reach.

(27,985 posts)Even though we haven't gone red in a very long time. We were solid as a rock the past 2. However, I don't think we'll get Obama numbers, our Democrats do a fine job of doing up for GE's. We suck at mid terms and special elections. I think we'll be considered swing, which is OK with me because it brings resources here. I even got to see the Beastie Boys in 2008 when they came to Rock the Vote.

(9,494 posts)Maybe, for the first time, Texas! Especially if Trump gets pissed off at the way the GOP is treating him.

(27,985 posts)The average working class moderate is terrified of Trump. Blue collar workers and suburban moms who might typically vote Republican could see HRC as a safe choice.

(1,968 posts)If the nominee is Cruz, the swing states should be as usual, but less swingy and more blue than normal as well.
If the nominee is Trump and Clinton chooses Castro, the swing states might be Texas and Louisiana.

It can be done with the Latino vote and even some Republican businessmen.
But only if you try.

(10,437 posts)democrats....its a real issue and they know it.....as trump will mobilize people to get out and vote against him....the same really not said of hillary because those who won't vote for would never vote for her....I take the sander supporters threats as sour grapes pretty much just like hillary supporters in 2008
redstates can be "purple' states with the right VP choice....like castro

(9,494 posts)asshole when he concedes, all but the most cult like of his supporters will easily swing to Hillary. So many of them are young so that even Bernie couldn't count on them all registering and showing up to vote but, we are going to be getting Republican and Independent women in droves!
