Hillary Supporters alert post stalking. What you may or may not know about the Jury System.

The DU Jury is random selected from a pool of DU members. If you have a star membership, your chances for jury duty increases. If you have no post hidden your chances of jury duty increases. But with the more post hidden, the chances of jury duty decreases. If you get two hides in a short period of time, your account is locked and you have at least a 24 hour timeout until you are "reviewed"

Now, here is where the rigging of juries on DU comes into play. An OP is posted in a close forum or a group. In this case, the Hillary Clinton (Group). Most likely the vast majority who may reply to a comment in the Hillary Group is a Hillary supporter. The "alerter" stalks his prey. He doesn't immediately alert on a post with a few comments in the thread. He waits until there is over 20 posts. You know why? Because each person that posted on that thread is excluded from the jury. This increases the odds that he will get more Bernie supporters on the Jury because those 20 plus Hillary supporters are already excluded.

Things you can do move the odds of a jury verdict into your favor.

1. Have a star membership. (Your chances of being on a jury increases. Plus you get more slots to blacklist members from your jury pool)
2. Fill out your jury blacklists with Pro-Bernie supporters (look at their profile and get the ones with 100 percent chance on being on a jury)
3. Think twice about posting "negative" Bernie comments in a thread with a high number of Hillary supporters in that thread (and zero or very few Bernie Supporters). if you do, chances are your comment will be alerted on because all those Pro-Hillary posters on that thread will be excluded from the jury.

4. Don't give them a reason to alert.

However the comments I've seen on the transparency page of those who were given a time out were not that offensive. Since the 5 hides you get a time out rule has been suspended I'm not going to refrain from criticism when it's deserved.

If a person is personally insulting a DUer--and I don't give a shit who they support--I don't go for that.

If there's goading and baiting going on, I will make allowances if someone returns fire after being insulted, but by and large I don't like personal insults.

If someone is putting down a public figure, that is NOT a cause for an alert. I don't care who they are deriding, so long as the insults aren't sexist, racist, or some other kind of bigoted 'ist'--public figures are PUBLIC for a reason and they can handle the criticism.

If people have to be afraid to speak their minds--so long as they aren't deriding DUers--here, then we've FAILED. The admins need to take the people who are alert-stalking and give THEM a time out....see how they like it.

I have shut up.

For months I only K&R'ed. Everything I said got a hide. I once quoted someone's words back to them. I got a hide and their filth got a pass. Trust me, it was vile. Two others got a hide on the thread for quoting them, yet the author got away scot free.

For now, I am back here to see our Presidents last months in office. I have found several other great sites to go to. When Obama goes, so will I unless Skinner cleans this place up.

Hey MADem, we have an election to win. We will do this.

...except what the original post explains--it doesn't really matter. If you do the peace, love, and hare krishna thing to keep a positive spin on any thread and a stalker waits until enough people have posted and alerts for no good reason, and in a group they do not belong to, the whole thread gets locked and everyone who posted is "in trouble" according to the rules.
The juries are stacked with Bernie people. It's a no-win situation as far as I can see.
Hopefully things will change soon.

I actually saw that once on a jury as a reason to hide a post. Unless you say that Bernie is pure as the driven snow, a saint and a genius, you're asking for a hide these days. I'm on a lot of juries, I've never had anything of mine hidden, but some of the jury members are just awful, and almost never with an explanation. They hide stuff that shouldn't be and let stuff go that should be hidden.

it was for the phrase "lunatic followers". It's a stretch but that could be seen as an attack on other DUers. Considering the filth written regularly about Hillary supporters, the double standard is stark and unmistakable.

I'd love to see if changing that phrase to "his civics challenged supporters" or "those who support him blindly" or just "his supporters" would survive a jury.

It's a ridiculous game that we won't, thankfully, have to play for much longer.

I never mentioned DUers. If anyone here would do such a thing I think they are the ones to be chastised, not me.

If anyone would like to see the post, you can find it in over 20 different sights with an explanation of what happened to it here.

I won't post a direct link to it because, apparently, it isn't welcome here. However, here is a link to my favorite political discussion site. They welcomed my post and even suggested I might work it up into an article. You can find it in their excellent comment section.

Abuse of our rights should be taken with seriousness, the freedom of speech covers protests, does others want to see this right removed, doubtful.

Every time I serve on a jury where a Pro-bernie guy alerted regardless of the results, I send it right back to the admins for review. I make sure that person never gets to serve on a jury again. I don't play. You try to silence me, I will return the favor and silence you. Now, I've noticed the Bernie people are trying to take over Late Breaking News by posting bull shit articles about how many people show up to Bernie's events. Fine, let them skirt around Skinner's rules. In the meantime, we get smart and we go off line and talk to voters and let them know what a threat Bernie is to our party and that's how we win elections

I am not going to play that game.
Moderators have to do their duty.

I expect Clinton will be nominated.

If there is a reversal of fortune, and Sanders is nominated, I will have no problem voting for him.

If a Democratic Party nominee is elected, that person will have serious problems withe GOP in Congress.
