Hillary Clinton

Bernie "pulls" within 8 of Hillary? More like Hillary beats Bernie by eight.
I have never seen a more delusional group of people in my entire life. And mean too! The innuendo and swift boating of Hillary is disgusting. They deal in such denial and dishonesty it makes my head spin.
I think even Bernie would disown them if he were reading this board.

I just had to ask
Betty Karlson
(7,231 posts)Mr. Sanders and Mrs. Clinton have BOTH refrained from making personal attacks. What they do is laying out political positions and policies they hope to implement.
These elections are about politics. Not about Mrs. Clinton or Mr. Sanders. Not about their supporters. It's about their positions. And since quite a few of those positions overlap, we need to select a good candidate, without acrimony, to carry those policies forward, into a new presidency.

(12,504 posts)I have yet to see any one Hillary supporter who says they will not support whomever is the Dem Nominee.
As for the Sanders supporters....you cannot claim the same. just peek through this thread..over and over, Bernie supporters claiming they would not vote for hillary should she get the Dem Nomination: http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=6794324
Since you asked, I thought I'd tell.

(16,104 posts)would you expect them to after supporting Senator Sanders (I-VT) who is a confirmed DINO?
They have already made the leap away from the Party.

(14,755 posts)And, it has nothing to do with the fact that a candidate's room was used to attack to others on DU, instead of using it for it's stated mission.
I don't why you're so angry.
hrmjustin
(71,265 posts)The point is the hosts of this room decide what is appropriate in this room.
The point is we don't need Sanders supporters coming in here to police us.
I don't do it to the Sanders room i would appreciate you not doing it in here.

(14,449 posts)Why not just keep private groups out of latest threads so that you don't have DUers not in the group making comments. If you want an exclusive group, why not keep it out of areas that the nonmembers go? It would be good for the group and the nonmembers because I've noticed on many occasions that the members of a group get upset if one of the non members says something not acceptable to the group. I think the exclusive groups set up non members to fail by coming into public areas.
hrmjustin
(71,265 posts)It is the responsibility of a DUer to notice the group you post in.

Second, every other group appears on the latest page...
and finally if you were observant, you can could what appears on YOUR latest page. I think you just want to complain, however.

(297,257 posts)I think you're wrong.. Group OPs can be Rec and then get on the Greatest Page just like any other thread.. so more people can see them. It's up to the member to notice where the heck they are.

REASON FOR ALERT
This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.
ALERTER'S COMMENTS
Take this ad hominem nasty post to Hillary Mojo , hidden away for the devotees. This has no business anywhere on DU.
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Mon Jun 8, 2015, 06:32 AM, and the Jury voted 3-4 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: It's a safe haven so I'll let them vent. It must suck to be supporting someone you think is the anointed one and then have another candidate pull close and make it look like it may be a race. And the poster should probably realize that if they are going to call people "mean" they may want to tone down the "delusional" talk. And maybe look for the plank in your own eye and all that.
Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Name calling, flame bait, intended purely to disrupt. Hide.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: If personal attacks can remain then this type of post should stay in view also.
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Ugly and hateful. This is a sick post
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

(92,201 posts)impression that a groups Admins, not the general DU forum determine if a post fits the criteria of a group, not the DU jury system. Can someone clarify that for me if they know
Also, reading some of the comments from the jury on this reinforces why I do not take part in the process. It has no real standards, and some jury participants find a need to make their own personal remarks regarding the conflict, and worse, sometimes inject that bias into their decision
Groups are supposed to be a sanctuary for supporters I thought
Goblinmonger
(22,340 posts)Hosts of a group get to decide only on OPs (if they meet the SOP) and if DU members are blocked from the group.
Anybody on DU can alert on any post in any group in DU and then the jury takes over. As was the case here.
I'm probably one of the comments you weren't happy about (though I voted to leave) and I'm fine with that.

(43,867 posts)The real story is that this straw poll only shows how much stronger Clinton is than eight years ago, when in the same poll:
Of the 389 delegates, alternates and guests who voted in 2008, 153 backed Edwards, while Hillary Clinton came in second with 83 votes and Barack Obama was third with 74.
The progressive insurgent is again sitting with ~40% of the vote, but now Clinton has closer to 50% than 20% support. The left wing activists in the party are significantly less hostile towards her than they were back then.
Also Clinton only got 55% in their poll last year essentially unopposed so it's clearly not representative of national polling of Democrats. Sanders may consolidate the "Anyone But Hillary" bloc, but unlike in 2007/8 that's now only a minority of the party.
