I was there: Sanders likely flips 2 delegates & Still Likely to Lose in Nevada (Main Story)

Jon Ralston (his Twitter feed if you're interested) is the biggest political reporter here in my hometown of Las Vegas. He's one of those rare reporters who tends to keep it fairly middle of the road and non-partisan. Before you dive into the juicy part, here's a bit of backstory about what went down before the convention even got started:

Bernie vs. Hillary boils over in Nevada before Clark convention

~~~~SNIP~~~~
The board met last night and the situation boiled over with the credentials chief, longtime activist Christine Kramar, refusing to leave the room. Here's part of what happened, another reminder that these things are run by volunteers and can be, ahem, messy Kramar had not been removed as of Saturday morning, and a meeting was scheduled between Sanders and Clinton reps to try to resolve the issue.
Kramar is accused of releasing confidential Clinton information to the Bernie Sanders campaign, as you can see from the letter (below), written by nationally known election lawyer Marc Elias.
Despite all the hype from the Berniebots (and their putting down the Hillbots), it looks like Nevada is still going to be a Hillary Clinton win -- albeit uncomfortably close -- going into the state convention in May. I was there as a Hillary delegate, and there was some shady events going on... I can talk more about those down thread if anyone is interested. The good news is that my wife and I were selected as delegates to the state convention where we'll once more be proud to say, "#ImWithHer".
One last bit of other good news... One of the Clark County Convention officials -- Clark County is where Las Vegas is located in Nevada -- asked the audience by round of applause if they would support whoever was the Democratic nominee. The crowd erupted in an ear shattering and thunderous collection of whistles, chants like "HELL YES!", "Unite Blue", and a few scatterings of "Bernie!" and "Hillary!".
Sanders likely flips two delegates after dominating Clark convention
Despite losing the state on Feb. 20 in the caucus, Bernie Sanders' campaign swarmed the Clark County caucus and probably flipped two delegates from Hillary Clinton's camp.
Clinton was presumed to have a 20-15 delegate edge after the caucus based on her 5 percentage point win in the caucuses. But because the caucus process allows some delegates to be unbound, 12 of those were up for grabs at the 17 county conventions Saturday. Sanders had 600 more delegates in Clark on Saturday despite losing the state's most populous county by nearly 10 percentage points.
That is expected to switch two delegates to Sanders, giving Clinton an 18-17 lead in Nevada, but that is still pending the results of the state convention next month when those 12 slots could again change. (Sanders also dominated in Washoe and did well elsewhere.) Ah, the caucus process.
Here are today's results, via the state party: MORE AT LINK
Hillary's Press Secretary, @BrianEFallon, had the following to say on Twitter:
Among grave issues affecting County convention results in NV: notice went out to delegates wrongly saying they didn't need to show up today
Number of irregularities in NV today that were very troubling but we dont expect outcome to alter fact that Clinton has more NV delegates
You wouldn't have to go into the convention as you would still be counted among the pledged delegates for your candidate. I heard a lot of Clinton's folks likely fell for that and didn't show up. The line for early check in (on Friday evening) was about a 2 + hour wait that started at 5pm PST and was supposed to go till 9pm PST. If some of those people were never told, they might have simply not come to the convention today. I got the same email, but since I want to try to go all the way to the National Convention, the Misses and I attended. Glad we did. Dirty tricks and all.
Nevada caucus chairwoman, accused of cheating, stages sit-in and gives middle finger [video]
Amidst the overall meltdown today at the Clark County nomination convention in Nevada, which saw multiple delegates apparently shifted from Hillary Clinton to Bernie Sanders amid accusations that chairwoman Christine Kramar was cheating on behalf of the Sanders campaign, she had a meltdown of her own. Caught on camera, Kramar walked into a meeting where the Executive Board was supposed to be deciding her fate. She staged a sit-in, demanding that she be arrested, before ultimately leaving and throwing the bird at her own office.
After finally being told by a building maintenance man that they all needed to leave the building because it was after-hours and was closing down, she claimed she was being “trespassed.” One board member sought out the camera and made fun of her for “drama.” As Kramar was walking out, she threw two middle fingers. Perhaps this is what the bird that landed on Bernie Sanders last week was really signifying? Watch the bizarre meltdown below:
who had no right to be there, which had the effect of not allowing Hillary delegates into the room. Heard that the police were called to remove some of these not-invited BSers.
Also read that the committee chairwomen looped Bernie's campaign into a private confidential email from the Clinton campaign which resulted in the Clinton campaign asking that she be replaced with a neutral person.
...she has to keep her eyes-in-the-back-of her-head open, too, in order to keep the ones she has already earned. This is becoming a strange campaign where Sanders can try and steal the ground she has already won, is smearing the Democrat front-runner with lies (so much for unity going into the GE), and has become increasingly aggressive and dirty in multiple ways.
He had better watch himself because after pasting himself with warpaint against HC and the DNC it will be hard for him to return to plain old "honest" Bernie in the Senate. he might chalk it all up to all is fair in love and "revolution", but that pig is not likely to fly.
26. Did Bernie Sanders Win Nevada? 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know
Sun Apr 3, 2016, 09:16 AM
Apr 2016
Bernie Sanders won Nevada Saturday after county conventions took the win from Hillary Clinton. The Clinton and Sanders campaigns clashed at Nevada county conventions, and Sanders walked away with three county wins, including Clark County where Clinton had originally won the vote. This means that although Clinton got more votes on caucus day, Sanders will likely end up with more delegates. Projections put him getting anywhere from 1 to 10, although most hover around 1 to 4. Some sources, such as Ralston Reports, said he gained two delegates over Clinton. Sanders’ campaign manager said he netted four over Clinton.
The Clark County convention was filled with drama, including rumors that Sanders delegates were told not to show up and others being threatened with arrest. In the end, more delegates voted for Sanders than Clinton, flipping the results of Clark County, which includes Las Vegas. It’s unclear at this time exactly how many new delegates Sanders is picking up from Nevada, since delegates are unbound until the state convention, but he definitely won some today.
Here’s what you need to know.
I went on vacation last week and when I read some threads here on Wednesday, the Bernie supporters were still harping on Hillary cheating. All based from a communist newspaper article. The angst of don't you want fair elections. true the vote. it needed to be looked into by the DoJ ASAP, so Hillary doesn't become the nominee. on and on they went. There were several threads on how Hillary and her supporters should raise a stink about the shenanigans in AZ, While at the same time other Bernie supporters were accusing her of paying off election officials to win.
Today. There is actual verifiable proof of cheating. Only it is not from the Hillary camp. Bernie's camp. No true the vote, investigate, jail her!! on and on. Just still claiming without facts that Hillary is cheating, somewhere. somehow.
