(11,599 posts)to suffice for one year, because he did not want to tarnish his campaign image. An actual return would have been submitted later to the IRS, and ought of sight from all of us.

(15,438 posts)He hasn't released the full filed income tax forms and is moving the goalposts. When asked earlier last year if he would release his filed tax returns, he said he will, eventually. Now he's moving the goalpost and trying to play the media into forcing Hillary to do as he wants, debate on the day he wants, or even try to avoid having to debate her, or he won't release his tax returns??
He's stalling; making excuses. He's terrified that if he releases his IRS tax filings, he'll lose the image of "every day man".
But now I'm wondering, what exactly does he have to hide?
pandr32
(11,599 posts)...his most trusted campaign strategist. I am not buying it, nor should anyone. He is showing himself to be too incompetent to be POTUS if we are to take him at his word (will he delegate everything to his wife who can't seem to get it together?), and too dishonest to run as the "clean" candidate if we are right about him.

(67,782 posts)...he pulls this?
Okay, if he doesn't have this year's tax return completed, what about last year, the year before, etc.?
And that excuse (he always seems to have one for everything, doesn't he?) that his wife prepares them, wtf? Do they talk to each other? Is she doing his return in secret?
Sometimes I just wonder - reminds me of the original SNL cast - "Not ready for prime time"!

(67,782 posts)The excuse about tomorrow night was that Syracuse was in the NCAA finals, but they got eliminated last night. I don't know what his excuse is for the other two dates (April 14 and 15).
Maybe he'll be too busy doing his tax return?

BS, Will you and wife ~who you seem to be throwing under the bus now~ please release your full tax returns?
HRC GROUP READY!

(1,019 posts)but he's basically getting a pass on not releasing his returns as his opponent has done? This isn't the equivalent of private activity such as speaking fees or speeches. This is basic income and any deductions taken to reduce that income for taxation.
Sanders is being a blatant hypocrite here and the media needs to call him out on it stronger than it has been doing so far.

Bernie vs. Hillary: Who Is More Trustworthy?
Three fact-based questions as Bernie goes negative
The Washington Post just reviewed a recent dispute between the Sanders and Clinton campaigns and concluded that Sanders earned three Pinnochios for dishonesty. This raises broader questions as Bernies campaign goes negative.
Bernie has created a mythical brand of integrity that has persuaded progressives to fund his campaign. Now that he is using those funds to attack Hillary Clinton, progressives should consider the factual answers to three questions:
(1) Is Bernie a high-integrity politician, or does he have a history of making compromises when politically convenient?
(2) Do his budgets speak hard truths or promise falsehoods?
(3) Do well-informed, independent observers more frequently trust Bernie or Hillary?
Question #1: Does Bernie Show Courage When The Chips Are Down?
We all know that Bernie attacks Wall Street and the rich, and his attacks often have merit. But those attacks do not require political courage, as neither constituency matters to his campaigns in Vermont or nationally. So, how has Bernies integrity held up when his own political career was at stake? The facts are not kind, as Mother Jones recently explained. To take three examples:
Exhibit A: The National Rifle Association. .................

If he wants to be President, he should at least share them with the public, whoever prepared them.

2. Thinking that this is a legitimate excuse! Blaming on wife. Not Presidential.
3. Trying to get away from releasing before NY! This gets to me b/c I am in NY! Bug me quite a lot!
At best Disorganized and bumbling. At worst sneaking and corrupt. Not Presidential either way.
