You know what sucks about not being stupid?

If Bernie wins the nomination, I'm going to vote for him in November. I have to. I'll have to bring along a vomit bag, but I know that any of the Repub nominees will be so much worse that I'll simply have no choice.

After the tone of his campaign, after the shenanigans in Nevada, after learning he wants to gut the space program . . . for the first time in my adult life, it really will be choosing the lesser of two evils.

Sometimes I wish I were an independent, that I had the luxury of saying Hillary or Bust. I don't live in a swing state, so it would be easy enough to vote for Jill Stein. But I'm a Democrat, and unlike a great number of folks on Democratic Underground, that actually means something. The pledge I took means something. So I'll vote for Bernie in November. It will be the worst vote of my life, even worse than when, as a naive college student, I voted third party in 2000, but I'll do it. I'll vote for Bernie Sanders.

Then I'll go home and cry as Trump or Cruz or Kasich is elected President.

Folks, we HAVE to win this primary.

I think we're seeing the last gasps and it's just going to get uglier from here.

be spared such a choice, today is the first day that I have actually felt the way you describe about SBS. So I very much share your feelings.

His campaign went there. I cannot and will not forgive that.

But I am not completely insane. I will never not vote, nor will I vote for, anyone other than the Dem GE candidate. So, in the unlikely event that the Dem GE candidate is Sanders, he will get my vote. But it won't be like 2008, where I was able to live with disappointment and back Prez O's bid wholly and with great enthusiasm because both campaigns lived up to high standards.

It will be only because the alternative is literally unthinkable and unbearable.

Put your opponent in a position where he has to cut off his nose to spite his face. He'll not like it but he will keep his nose.
