Very revealing about her character and motivation, which is vastly superior to what we normally see in politicians. She is truly a cut above.

Thanks so much for bringing this here, Kath1.

You know, it brought up memories for me of when she was First Lady. I remember very well when the press was trying to make her honest and heartfelt statements into something they simply weren't. There was no ulterior motive, or grand design. At least, that was how I understood it then, just as I do now.

I've heard some say some very nasty things about her being a devout Methodist. Thing is, I also remember growing up KNOWING young women that I would meet, usually through Girl Scouts, that had a similar mindset. There was no ulterior motive or grand design for these young women either. They simply believed that being kind and helping others was the right thing to do. So, when as FLOTUS, she openly spoke in the way these young women I knew did as well when I was younger? I never took it as anything other than what she believed. No New Age, none of that. What she believed and has acted upon her entire life.

I remember also hurting for our then First Lady, for the abominable treatment she received from the press for being open and honest about her core beliefs.

It's no wonder she's reserved with the press these days.
