Another email from Greenpeace

(Note: I would normally post this as a continuation or a reply to my OP on the subject here in the Hillary Group, but when I reacted to a smart ass reply to my OP, my reply was alerted on, probably in retaliation when the person who wrote the smart ass comment was banned from the group. Since my reply was subsequently hidden by a 4-3 jury verdict meaning I can no longer reply to or edit my own post, I had to start a new post to continue discussion on the subject. )

Evidently the Greenpeace folks have a canned reply when those like myself react with an angry email to their earlier attempt to profit from their encounter with Hillary Clinton. This time the email came form the Greenpeace "organizer" who confronted Hillary, one Eva Resnick-Day. That email started like this:

I went to the Hillary Clinton rally because I care deeply about protecting our democracy from fossil fuel interests.

I had one question for Hillary: “Will you act on your words and reject future fossil fuel money in your campaign?”

I was genuinely shocked by her response. Please watch the video of our encounter and then ask our candidates to pledge to #FixDemocracy and reject fossil fuel money.

(snip)

I didn’t ask this question to annoy or discredit Hillary — I just want to know if we can trust her to truly listen to the people if she wins the office. But as long as candidates are taking large sums of money from fossil fuel interests, I feel very uncomfortable trusting them to do the right thing for our climate.....

This was my reply:

Really, you were shocked? Is that why you had someone ready to video the confrontation because you were prepared to be shocked. And then Greenpeace publicized this encounter and is trying to try benefit from it. You had better learn who your allies are and who your enemies are, because you just turned this ally into an enemy with your stunt and you just ticked off the future President of the United state. Good move!

I have already spread this on social media including a site on Democratic Underground reserved for Hillary Clinton supporters and the thousands of people who frequent that site are pissed.

Be sure to confront Bernie Sanders in a similar fashion so all of his supporters can hate you and Greenpeace too.

Eva Resnick-Day, you are idiot for sticking your nose into the Democratic nomination process and Greenpeace must be full of bigger idiots for trying to profit from that situation.

The fact that Greenpeace had that particular canned reply ready send out when I sent in my original email proves that I did not get their first email by coincidence. It is more than obvious that Greenpeace is trying to capitalize on the confrontation with Hillary.

They should not be able to get away that kind of BS. Someone who is into social media (maybe some with a whole bunch of followers on Twitter) needs to give Greenpeace hell for causing and filming the the confrontation in the first place and trying to profit from it.

I am not big into Facebook, Twitter, etc. but I intend to do what I can by posting a caustic article about this Greenpeace incident on my blog - http://www.cajunscomments.com/ This ticks me off to no end and this kind of BS can not go unchallenged.

Complete with pictures and multiple fonts. They knew they would get blow back from some of the people they sent it two, evidently it was worth the risk in order to cash and collect money using the confrontation with Hillary. They were saying, "look, we are confronting evil candidates in an attempt to protect the environment - so send us money".

They are going to collect some money off of this stunt, but they need to understand that this BS also needs to have serious repercussions for Greenpeace. I'm thinking a petition rebuking them which thousands of people could sign on line.

If people like you write like you did the 1st time and they get this reply it will turn them off! They will have the same reaction you are (and I am) having, This feels slimy!! People don't go for that. When people give money they do it with good intentions, someone asking for your money/help and acting so disingenuously does not work. This will backfire on this woman. She thinks she got on top of it. Nah she is making it worse!!!!!

Googled her online to find out more about her and noticed the images that popped up... In every one she looks like she could really use a bath. Maybe all of the dirt is sinking into her brain and clouding her judgment.

However, I cut it way down after their antics in India.

I will not donate a cent anymore after this most recent stunt.

Greenpeace is more interested in political stunts than actually doing anything about the environment.

Canada and New Zealand have revoked the organization’s non-profit status. They say it's overly politicized agenda no longer has any public benefit.
