are the same opponents that put up road blocks to racial equality.
I am saying that we have a long way to go in this country before we realize the Constitutional promise of equality. And until we get there we need to be careful about how we parse our words because an immigrant's success in gaining citizenship, just moves him into the next battle that involves personhood. It's one that most American minorities are still struggling with.
