Good weather for canvassing here in NY. HRC ROOM

Some people talking about the qualified mess already and all of the people I met said they thought he was wrong to say that. A few said they were not voting for her but not because she was not qualified. The Daily News was also a topic of conversation. Most people want to know what will they do to top themselves.

Most people like both candidates but a few of the older residents are getting tired of Sanders attacks and the younger residents of Bath Beach were more for Bernie. The generational divide playing itself out in this state as well. Met many parents that said they were voting for Hillary but their kids were for Sanders. But this area is demographically older so it favors Hillary.

Some were complaining that they could not change their party because of the 6 month rule here. Some of the younger residents were registered independents and did not realize the laws here. I hear this problem is happening all over the city. A lot of the newer residents of the trendy neighborhoods registered as Independents because that is trendy and can't change to Dems. I sympathize with them to a degree but I believe in closed Primaries. But the 6 month rule could be changed to 1 or 2 months.

It is a privilege to do this.

Same day registration for general elections only. That's my take. Pick a side or wait until the general.

We only go to houses with registered dems but the indys seem to be splitting but s little more in his favor.

But i think the trendy areas are full of Sanders supporters who can't vote go him.

our system is complicated on purpose, and it takes a while for people to figure out the importance of registration
