What You Don't Know About Hillary Clinton Can Hurt You, Part 1 (Hillary Group)

Yesterday, the Rude Pundit was talking to a millennial dude who will be voting in his first presidential election this year. He sure hates Donald Trump, but he doesn't like Hillary Clinton because "she's so shady." That's one of those things that trigger a gut-level reaction in the Rude Pundit because it's a belief that's based on a heaping mountain of horseshit. So he went off on the millennial.

"No," the Rude Pundit snapped, "that's completely fucking wrong. The only reason you think Clinton is shady is because 25 years of conservative media shoved it down your throat. She's been accused and accused and investigated and investigated and guess what? Not a goddamn thing has ever come of it. It's all shit made up to damage her. If you keep saying over and over that someone did something wrong, did something wrong, did something wrong, but you never prove it, then you're just an asshole."

only because the Republicans have been throwing dirt that doesn't stick to her. If anyone is dishonest it is the Republicans. Just like Congress has the lowest unavailability rating in a long time. But Congress's rating has been in the toilet mostly because of Republicans.

2000, and he responded and is pretty cordial and nice, too. Not rude in any way. He's wicked smart and sees the forest for the trees. I'm happy to read that he supports Hillary Clinton. Like I said, he's wicked smart.

aside from made-up bullshit. So, I will wait and see what he comes through with in part 2 before assuming he supports her. Nevertheless, he accurately describes how so many Dems have fallen for the right wing smear machine portrayal of her.

Nothing they've thrown at her has stuck. She is tough as nails and VERY qualified to be President.

to her lie over and over and over....

I get it that she is running for POTUS, but the lies just waft around her.

BTW as a 50+ female I have been told I MUST support her.

You think that's oversimplifying it? Then you didn't fucking live through it in the 1990s. You didn't watch as men in both parties tore themselves to pieces over what they viewed as Clinton's lack of decorum, her failure to merely be an adornment for her husband (see the reaction to Eleanor Roosevelt for this level of intense hatred). The scorn that Michelle Obama gets for just saying that American fat fucks should exercise a little and stop eating piles of shit is horrible, and its racist elements are disgusting, but, to be sure, it doesn't come near the level of Hillary Clinton because no one could write an article titled "Hating Michelle" and have it be about anything more than a bunch of cranky yahoos.

doesn't mean he doesn't have issues with her. I have some issues with her, too, but compared to Sanders, they're not nearly as bad.

We can never get "the perfect" political candidate who can actually win general elections. People aren't perfect. There are bound to be things we won't like about her or can't agree with her on, but that doesn't take away from the fact that she's our best bet to get things done for the American people that help the American people.

I believe even the Rude Pundit understands that, even if he has some issues he needs to resolve.
