(27,813 posts)but I'm going to guess (hope) it's someone who's young enough that he or she completely lacks the context in which the word "hag" has been used in literature.
I find many millennials to be very smart, but because of the way they've been educated "to the test" since No Child Left Behind, they are emerging from school unable to put a context to anything. They haven't had to, and have actually been actually educated not to, because they are searching for the right answer all the time.
There isn't always one right answer. There isn't always a direct comparison.
