And where it was loudest by my estimation? Petare (the poorest area of Caracas):
Just want to dispel the right wing myth that Venezuela is devolving into chaos and riots. It's a few rascals here or there, who knows how much of it is psyops or actual protesters. The right wing myth that Venezuela is turning into chaos is what the MSM would want people to think and would welcome an invasion by the US to fix the war torn nation.

(17,751 posts)1. Looks like Calle Ocho (SW 8 St.) in Little Havana, Miami, whenever a Fidel rumor surfaces.

One of them looked like the Venezuelan parents made their kids go out and bang pans and they didn't look enthused at all.

I took no offense. He and I aren't enemies (though there are some here who would have us at each others throats).
Did you bang pans last night?

There seems to be a concerted effort by Maduro and his press to make up a narrative that Venezuela is dissolving into chaos due to Capriles disputing the election results.

He might even be right to do that. Capriles has done beshit himself by making a fuss, and so: given Maduro a perfectly good pretext to clamp down. And Maduro better watch it if he goes down that road too. We will have to see who decides to stop over-reacting first.

(6,837 posts)7. chavismo is dead. Pick any other country in South America as a model
and that would be preferable to what is happening right now under the chavistas and Maduro.
