Paraguay Rejects Visit by Venezuelan Coup Legislators

Asuncion, May 3 (Prensa Latina) Paraguayan Senator Carlos Filizzola rejected the visit to Paraguay of a delegation of Venezuelan coup legislators saying that left-wing lawmakers will not meet with them.

The three representatives of the defeated presidential candidate Henrique Capriles are in this country and expressed interest in getting the support of the nation's Congress for his campaign against the government of President Nicolas Maduro.

In statements to Prensa Latina, Filizzola current senator and also re-elected for another term in the recent elections, announced that the Guasu Front parliamentary group to which he belongs does not want to have contact with those members of Capriles' group.

The Paraguayan lawmaker described as despicable the campaign the rightwing is doing with the objective of maintaining a climate of violence and destabilization, which already killed nine Venezuelans.
