UAE companies to import coffee from Ecuador

DUBAI: Two UAE food and beverage companies are aiming to import coffee, cocoa and chocolate products from Ecuador in the near future after their successful participation at Aromas Del Ecuador, a specialised exhibition held at Guayaquil, Ecuador.

Working closely with Pro Ecuador, the Trade and Investment promotion organisation of Ecuador, the participation of Coffee Planet and Shali Trading at the event opened long term opportunities with local Ecuadorian companies.

Pro Ecuador will assist the two UAE companies to get the right companies to import high quality coffee and chocolate products from the country.

According to the International Coffee Organisation (ICO), coffee consumption in the UAE is expected to grow at 12 per cent per annum in 2014.
