US Senate Foreign Relations Committee approves resolution on Venezuela

The resolution, which will now be discussed in the Senate, describes as inexcusable the use of violence and politically-motivated criminal charges to intimidate Venezuela's opposition

The US Senate Foreign Relations Committee passed on Tuesday a resolution requesting US President Barack Obama to ban visas to and freeze assets from people responsible for the violation of human rights against peaceful demonstrators and journalists in Venezuela.

The resolution, which will now be discussed in the Senate, describes as inexcusable the use of violence and politically-motivated criminal charges to intimidate Venezuela's opposition, AP reported.

The resolution broadly adopted by the members of the committee calls on the Government of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro to disarm Government-supported militias and to allow an independent and impartial inquiry into the excessive use of force by authorities against demonstrators.

IMO, those are reactionary vultures that have only made things worse in Venezuela by trying to interfere.

Mostly I get 1%Media and a few disenfranchised ex-Venezuelans who miss the good life they had at the expense of the majority.

What is a "disenfranchised ex-Venezuelan" btw?

I really like that "shoot'em all" type of coherence. So close to your historical heroes! You must get bored in your rich country...
