The Vice President of the United States will travel to Colombia next month to meet with the president to discuss regional ties, according to an AP report featured in U.S. News.

Although the White House gave no exact details over the issues that will be discussed between VP Joe Biden and Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos, it has been confirmed that an official meeting will take place in mid-June, Colombian radio station Santa Fe reported on Thursday.

According to the Associated Press; however, some of the broader issues on the agenda will be about security and economics.

Vice President Biden will first travel Brazil to watch the US play against Ghana in the 2014 World Cup on June 16 before making stops in Colombia and finally the Dominican Republic where he will discuss “a broad range of bilateral issues and regional cooperation,” according to Radio Santa Fe.
