Angola: Cuban Assistance to Higher Education Highlighted

Havana — The minister of Higher Education , Adão do Nascimento, said Monday in Havana that the Cuban cooperation has permitted the growth of the sector in Angola.

Speaking to Angolan journalists , the official said that currently the number of Cuban professionals in the sector of higher education has risen considerably.

He mentioned as an example that the country has now five new faculties of medicine that have trained a first generation of more than one hundred physicians, a number that could double next year.

The official added that the Cuban cooperation has enabled Angola to open 25 new courses and reopen new higher schools, which shows the positive result of this relation.
