businesses and institutions to evaluate web traffic. So ironic that this is denied if capitalism is being encouraged!

...it is basically a business for Google and you get paid for having ads on your site. US companies can't give "aid" to Cubans, etc. The ad-side of it though it largely separate, so it's really odd that they'd ban the entire service. Just disable the revenue aspect.

It'll be interesting to see if blogger.com goes down because most of the Cuban bloggers use that website, as well as Gmail and other Google services.

Fascinating. What is the US thinking those sites are going to do? Frankly they data mine, Cuba would be better off blocking those sites state-side because they allow a foreign company to mine Cuban user data.
