CONAN O'BRIEN is BROADCASTING FROM CUBA AND IT IS HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's on TBS--they will rerun the show immediately after this one, and it is frigging fanstastic--a Must See TV event.

He went down over President's Day and recorded a bunch of material.

I have to say, his eighth grade Spanish is pretty doggone good...! Better than he lets on. That musical number was a scream!

I loved that he focused on the people, and what makes Cuba so intoxicating: the music and dances, the architecture, food, and the warmness of everyday Cubans. I loved that the woman in the rum factory chose "Guantanamera" when prodded by Conan to sing him a song. It was a really great episode.

It was part travel channel and part Conan. It was great to look into a world we don't normally get to see. The Cuban people on the show seemed to be living in pretty good conditions. People were educated and vibrant. The politics I'm sure has an affect. You can see it in their consumer goods. I hope to visit some day.
