PANAMA CITY -

An advertising agency in Panama has come up with a clever way to pressure the government to fix potholes.

The agency, located in Panama City, has placed devices inside potholes that trigger a tweet every time a car runs over them.

When a vehicle hits a pothole, its tires hit a motion-sensitive device equipped with a module that triggers a tweet to the ministry of public works.

The tweets are sent from the twitter account known as "the tweeting pothole."

Some of the tweets come from a previously created pool, and some are created on the spot by a team from the ad agency.
