Alleged Murderer of Venezuelan Deputy Accused
Caracas, July 18 (Prensa Latina) Venezuela''s Public Ministry accused Leiver Padilla, alias Colombia, for his alleged role in the murder of Socialist deputy Robert Serra and his companion Maria Herrera, today discloses a press release that judicial instance.
Padilla (34) was accused of being an accomplice to crimes of aggravated murder and aggravated robbery against Serra, and homicide with premeditation, for trivial reason and the implementation of an aggravated robbery against Herrera, as well as conspiracy.
The bodies of the legislature and the girl were found on October 1, 2014, within the house of Padilla in La Pastora, Caracas municipality of Libertador.
On May 30, Padilla was extradited to Venezuela from Colombia, where he had fled in an attempt to evade justice.
