They continued going down with Chavez, sure, but now they're increasing again thanks to the horrible management under Maduro. Now Venezuela has the worst inflation rate and scarcity levels in the Western Hemisphere. But of course, the PSUV government is gonna blame it all on the U.S., the oligarchy, CIA, etc. and you, along with many other members in this forum who don't understand the basics of economics, are gonna believe all that BS since you cannot accept that Hugo's legacy is a failure.

Of course you'd know this if you actually paid close attention to what's happening in Venezuela. Unfortunately, they're the only legitimate way that the Venezuelan people have to oust chavismo from the government, so it's likely they'll stay there for quite a few more years.

recognize the results then overthrowing the government would be a legitimate action by the people ugly as it may be. We already know they are blocking candidates from taking office, I think the election will be suspended.

Those countries (or hell, I'd say almost all countries in LatAm now) managed to actually grow and progress more in a few years than Venezuela under 16 years of chavismo, and they don't even have a huge oil bonanza to boot! It takes a special kind of idiot to screw a country's economy while enjoying one of the largest reserves of arguably the world's most valuable energy source.
