Cuba, Invited to International Maya Culture Festival in Yucatan, Mex

Mexico, Jul 19 (Prensa Latina) Cuba is the guest country to the International Festival of Maya Culture (FICMaya) 2015 to be held in various locations in the Mexican state of Yucatan from October 16 to 25, it was announced here this weekend.
This fourth edition also has Quintana Roo, Yucatan adjoining, as guest state.

The governor of the host state, Rolando Zapata, said the FICMaya is already an important global meeting for visitors from around the world learn more about the original culture of the Mayab.

According to experts, the Mayab was the territory chosen for the development of the Maya civilization which at this moment includes part of Guatemala, western Honduras and Belize, and the states of Yucatan, Quintana Roo, Campeche and Chiapas and Tabasco, in Mexico.
