Colombian Political Prisoners Protest Concludes

Bogota, Nov 27 (Prensa Latina) The Colombian political prisoners decided to finish the period of protest and hunger strike at around 20 prisons in the country, after the Government decision to pardon 30 convicts, members of the FARC-EP, the Corporation Legal Solidarity confirmed today.
The decision answers or is in line with the recent gestures by the Government to restore confidence between the conflicting sides and move towards a final (pacifist) agreement, said a public communique by that human rights organization.

On Sunday, they announced the decision to grant pardon to 30 combatants of the insurgent Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia- People's Army (FARC-EP), imprisoned in different penitentiaries, besides other initiatives to guarantee assessment of the health condition of the rest of the members of that rebel group that are in prison.
