Opposition Mayors Backed Evo Morales for Reelection

La Paz, Dec 15 (Prensa Latina) Mayors of the opposition in the capital''s municipalities of Laja, Desaguadero, Guaqui and Charaña, stated today that they will say Yes to the constitutional amendment that will allow President Evo Morales to run once again in the general election of 2019.

Mayors, Macario Quispe (Laja), Wilfredo Acarapi (Desaguadero), Beatriz Arce (Guaqui) and Martin Villalobos (Charaña) expressed their support for the reelection of President Evo Morales and Deputy President Alvaro Garcia Linera in the constitutional referendum to partially amend the State Constitution next February 21, 2016.

Quispe stated that Morales taught the opposition how to rule, considering that any neoliberal governments never came to the municipality to deliver works.

While the mayor of Guaqui, Arce stated that thanks to the programs and projects implemented by the government in each municipality the quality of life improved. And that is the reason why we express our support for the President, because he is not isolated from the communities, she claimed.
