Snapchatvideo goes live in Venezuela

Snapchatvideo goes live in Venezuela
Juan Fernandez Gonzalez | 09 January 2016

Snapchat has enabled its Live Story feature in Venezuela, although it won't be initially available across the entire country.

According to the company's statements to the national media, Snapchat's live stories have only been activated in Maracaibo so far, the country's second largest city and its financial centre.

The Live option enables Snapchatters to share their short videos on a timeline regarding a specific incident, a feature that has been used in other countries to cover, or even inform about, large events. Networks such as Univision and lately Al-Jazeera are closely collaborating with the social video network.

Snapchat hasn't revealed when the Live Story option will be extended across the country.
