Venezuela "expresses its firmest support to the Syrian government"

Very fast translation, sorry for the mistakes.

"....President...Comandante Hugo Chavez, in the name of the Venezuelan people.... expresses its firmest support to the government of the sister Arab republic of Syria and acknowledges the intelligent effort that President Bashar Al-Assad has made to open the way to a political solution to the complex situation the country is living.

The Bolivarian Govenment supports the vast program of constitutional, political, economical and social reforms that was undertaken by President Al Assad, and values, in particular, his will to promote dialogue for the national understanding, despite the climate of destabilization and the terrorist acts that have been incited by forces from outside of the country, daily.

Venezuela condemns energically the fierce siege that the Syrian nation is suffering, and the strategy that stirs up a civil war that would drive Syria into chaos and division, and reiterates its conviction that the Syrian people will be the only ones capable of deciding their destiny, based on principles of autodetermination and independence, as they are established in the International Law."
