Diosdado Cabello, the powerful government of Venezuela, has been defeated in the US courts . The Second Circuit of the United States Court of Appeals ruled this Wednesday in favor of Dow Jones & Company Inc. , owner of the newspaper The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), which had been sued by the chavista for defamation after publishing a report that revealed his links with drug trafficking and the Cartel de los Soles in 2015.

Cabello, the head of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), had already lost his lawsuit against the publishing company for not having "accredited" his presumption of slander in August 2017. But the retired army soldier had insisted on blaming the newspaper The US has the responsibility of muddying his image by relating him to drug trafficking businesses. That is why he had appealed at the time this decision of the United States justice, using the support of a group of lawyers.

Now, the Court of Appeals has confirmed that the powerful Chavista has been disarmed to deny that he is being investigated by the United States for alleged drug trafficking and money laundering. The court found the arguments of Cabello's defense incomprehensible.

Muddying his image... that's a laugher. He has been named as the head of the Cartel de los Soles drug empire by none other than Pablo Escobars former hitman... and he is worried about his image in the United States? THE GUY BRANDISHES A CLUB on his TV show (that they network is required to carry) where he insists that he has/will use it to smash the heads of his enemies.

He has posited that regardless of any election, that Chavismo will NOT be removed from power, even if he and his red-shirts have to engage in street violence. Which is handy, because Chavismo has a lot of colectivos (motorcycle riding, red-shirted thugs) to call upon to defend their "revolution".
