Officials of the Bolivarian National Guard, prevented this Wednesday the passage to a march carried out by a group of peasants who was heading towards the Miraflores palace.
This was reported by lawyer Oliver Lopez Cano on his Twitter account. "The Admirable Peasant March is retained by the GNB in Av. Urdaneta not let it reach Miraflores."
The activist Julio Cesar Reyes confirmed the situation through several tweets, however he explained that there were two marches on the site, one whose sector he did not know and another one from the peasant sector that was called the "Admirable Peasant March".
"Two marches were achieved in Av. Urdaneta de Caracas, 1 of the peasants and the other still does not know what sector, the truth is that apparently they wanted to get to Miradores. There are allegedly riots in the area and strong presence of the GNB, "he said.
In another tweet, Reyes assured that the "peasant movement wants to reach Miraflores, shout slogans to Maduro to listen to the People. The Response is a strong picket of the GNB, apparently there are already riots in the area."
He explained that the march could only reach the corner of Veroes. "The Admirable Peasant March arrived at Urdaneta Avenue on the corner of Veroes; the vanguard, as spokespersons for the peasant masses, just want to sit down and talk to the President "Worker" about their living conditions," he said.

It's not like Maduro didn't know the peasants were coming to Caracas. The state news outlets were all over this "march of the peasants". Maduro doesn't want to meet with the "little people" any longer, because all he has is promises that he never fulfills.
Recently, some campesinos complained about being evicted from some private land they were squatting on (illegally), and Maduro gifted it to them! A very nice thing for a Marxist to do... But, they had nothing to plant. No seeds. No fertilizer. Maduro promised them that... but THAT he couldn't deliver, because there is NO SEED and NO FERTILIZER in a nation that used to export food. Chavez nationalized all of these businesses and they went under almost immediately. The only place to get seed and fertilizer is to import it... for REAL MONEY, which the Chavistas don't have.
