Chavist stooge: US to blame for mass emigration from Venezuela

Zapatero: Venezuelan Exodus is the product of US sanctions
15 Sep 2018, 09:41

Sao Paulo, Sep 15 (EFE) / Carlos Meneses Sánchez.- Former President of the Spanish Government José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero linked the intensification of the migratory flow of Venezuelans by several Latin American countries to the economic sanctions imposed by the United States.

"As always happens with the economic sanctions that produce a financial blockade, who, ultimately, ultimately pays it is not the Government, but the citizens, it is the people." This should lead to a certain reflection "and" consideration "Zapatero said in an interview with Efe after participating in a forum in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo.

Zapatero celebrated "the attitude of solidarity" towards the Venezuelan people of eleven Latin American countries that met in Quito earlier this month to try to "coordinate actions and, of course, the principles of human rights, of social assistance, comply. "

In his opinion, in those conversations it would also be necessary to include Venezuela because "it will be difficult to order, if that is the objective: to rationally order and help all this population that leaves, even one that returns", if there is no "dialogue" "with the country of origin of immigration.

The UN calculates that, until June of this year, at least 2.3 million Venezuelans have left their country because of the political, social and economic crisis that Venezuela is going through and have mainly addressed Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Brazil.

"But I must say that in the intensification in the recent growth of this emigration to other countries have much to do the economic sanctions imposed by the United States and that have been supported by some governments," he said.

The US sanctions are this: It prevents US entities from doing business with approx 40 Chavists in Venezuelan government. Also, US financial markets cannot refinance outstanding Venezuelan debt ("hunger bonds", ala Goldman Sachs), though US entities can buy Venezuelan oil. These sanctions do NOT keep other nations from doing business with Venezuela. China and Russia used to... but curiously since Maduro stopped repayment of debts, they can't even get a loan from a payday lender any longer. China is allegedly throwing about $5 billion to help pay down a Conoco debt to keep their refineries overseas operational....

So, any hardships endured by ordinary Venezuelans come at the hands of the Chavistas and their Marxist stooges from PODEMOS in Spain.
