The day Chavez tried to swindle Kirchner of their bribe money

Néstor Kirchner: "Piece of asshole, tell that (Chávez) to send them (millions of dollars) immediately"
October 02 2018, 10:27 a.m.

The deceased presidents of the 50 million dollars ... Hugo Chávez and Néstor Kirchner

"Piece of asshole, tell the one to send them immediately"

The phrase attributed to the deceased president of the Argentine Republic, dates back to August 2005 and was revealed according to Argentine judicial documents under the oath of the now repentant Claudio Uberti , the main bridge between the murky businesses of Argentina and Venezuela, precisely between Néstor Kirchner and Hugo Chávez.

It is the answer to a question by Hugo Chávez, about whether "Argentina still needed the 500 million," corresponding to the purchase of Argentine bonds that were later sold, exchanged in Bolívares Fuertes and then "augmented" through Cadivi.

This is a partial reproduction of the note: " Uberti revealed more details of the bribes between Kirchner and Chávez with the Argentine bonds", published this first of October of 2018 in the Argentine newspaper Clarín.

The former special representative "K" before Venezuela, Claudio Uberti, involved the former president of Deustch Bank in Argentina and finance secretary K, Alfredo Mclaughlin; former president of PDVSA Rafael Ramírez Carreño and former head of the Central Bank of Venezuela , Nelson Merentes, in the collection of a $ 50 million bribe for the purchase of Argentine Boden 2012 bonds.

In his full investigation as a repentant extension, Uberti revealed incredible details of how Chávez accepted Kirchner's request to send him "11 of the 25 million dollars" on a private flight and that the operation was carried out by "friendly banks", which identified The agreement was US $ 25 million for Kirchner and US $ 25 million for Chavez, while intermediary banks took another US $ 50 million.

In his statement, which Clarín agreed to judicial sources, Uberti recalled that in August 2005 he heard Kirchner who told the then Minister of Economy Roberto Lavagna: "Explain to Chavez how is the issue of financial aid we need."

Then, Lavagna replied: "We need you to buy some 500 million dollars of Argentine bonds."

Uberti, who was also head of OCCOVI (the toll control agency), had won Chávez's sympathy the previous year when he had asked him to autograph a pocket version of the Bolivarian constitution.

Then, in December of that year, he traveled to Caracas with the Undersecretary of Fuels, Cristian Folgar. Surprisingly, Chávez invited them to the Miraflores palace -the seat of the government- and during a three-hour talk he asked them if Argentina still needed the 500 million. Uberti, then, asked Chávez for permission to go out and call Kirchner. Finally, he located it, through the private secretary Daniel Muñoz and when the question was transferred to him, the president answered him: "Piece of asshole, tell him to send them immediately". He returned to the meeting and told Chávez the message about the so-called Boden 2012 bonds. When he returned to Buenos Aires, the operation had already taken place.

In July 2006, Uberti was in a meeting with the then governor of Cordoba, Juan Manuel de la Sota, and his team, in the capital of Cordoba, when he received an urgent call from Ana Carelli, private secretary of the then Minister of Planning, Julio De Vido, who ordered him to "return urgently to Buenos Aires because it was the Venezuelan Minister of the Economy, Nelson Merentes." He apologized and returned that same day to Buenos Aires.

As soon as he arrived, he seconded Merentes and accompanied him in an official car to the Ezeiza airport, where he gave technical explanations - which he did not understand - about "how well they were doing with Argentine bonds." He pulled out a print strip of a bank account and pointed out that "here are the profits, ask your superiors how we will get their share."

Cadivi, is the "Chavista money laundering machine". In theory, one USD is supposed to equal 10 Bolivars. In theory.

IN REALITY, if you are an enchufado (connected with Chavismo) you could bring in 100 worthless Bolivars, and get $10 at the Cadivi rate. With that $10, you would buy 10,000 Bolivars on the open market... which you would take in to exchange for $1000 at the Cadivi rate... repeat this cycle ad nauseum and you see how easy it is to become stupid rich in Venezuela... if you know the right people.

Oh by the way... Chavez daughter Maria Gabriela is the richest woman in Venezuela, worth an estimated $4.2 billion... not a bad payday for a low level ambassador.

Macri's judiciary is currently engaged in an all-out campaign to extort "testimony" from former Kirchner-era officials and others, a number of whom have been held in jail without formal charges for two months or more.

They're put in filthy cells, kept in some cases with potentially dangerous inmates, woken up routinely at 2 a.m., denied doctor's visits and even medicine in some cases - including at least one diabetic.

Their get-out-of-jail-free card consists in telling Macri's napkin judge (to whom these cases were illegally remanded) what he wants to hear - including perjury if need be.

The pretext? "Notebooks" that Macri's goons say they "lost" but instead only have photocopies of - which as you know are easily fabricated (and in Argentina, not admissible in court for that very reason). Indeed, at least two have been shown to be designs not even available in the years mentioned therein.

As you can imagine said photocopies have not been put through forensic tests of any kind (which of course they would fail).

Macri, as you know, has pushed his country into the worst crisis since 2002 - and it's still in the early phases. He figures that if he can put away anyone who might win next year, he might just win reelection by default.

Every bit a Maduro-stlye move, as you know. It's very much what Cheeto would do to Hillary and many other Democrats if he could (he's certainly been mulling that option).

But this tactic isn't working in Brazil, and it's not going to work in Argentina - least of all in this Macrisis.
