President Maduro installed the Bolivarian Congress of Peoples and promises fight against bureaucracy and corruption

Caracas, Dec 20 - The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, installed on Thursday the Bolivarian Congress of Peoples that will have the task of activating popular forces in the country.

"We have managed to build a powerful network of popular forces, and we will establish from today (Thursday) a general coordination of the Peoples Congress, which will activate the entire people as the highest expression of popular power."

The head of state - who will be the general coordinator of this Congress - stressed that within the body that is being installed this Thursday in the Poliedro de Caracas, the legitimate constituted and constituent power of the whole Republic is being integrated that is determining the future of the country.

He stressed that this congress is the maximum expression of popular power that will wage the battle that comes before the adverse factors.

In this sense, he pointed out before the political and social direction of the Bolivarian Revolution, the need "for the union for the action of all the constituent, constituted and popular forces".

In addition, to strengthen the civic military union in parishes, municipalities and states, "and be prepared to respond in time forcefully any attempted coup that may be in the course of the coming weeks and months."

Also, the president thanked the role of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), for its role in the consolidation of peace in the country.

He said that the plenipotentiary power has great tasks ahead, while he stressed his work in the approval of the National Budget for Fiscal Year 2019. "Thanks to the National Constituent Assembly we have a budget for 2019."

"Great tasks must be fulfilled in the Constituent Assembly, and they will fulfill them, because they were born to bring peace and enforce the rights of all Venezuelans," he emphasized.

He asserted that in 16 months of work, the plenipotentiary organ convened and ruled elections for governors, mayors, councilors and President of the Republic.

Fight against corruption

The Chief Executive ordered a plan against corruption, whose design would be in charge of Vice President Delcy Rodríguez.

The objective of the plan would be to "capture, persecute and punish the bandits and corrupt people of this country, infiltrated in public office."

"Enough of robber bandits disguised as reds occupying public positions with indolence, bureaucracy and corruption," he said.

Because when your Dictator renders the legitimately elected congress (AN) impotent because when your Chavista supreme court (TSJ) declares them in contempt; and you call for a constitutional convention (ANC)... hand picked Chavistas to re-write a Constitution that they can't seem to get around to... why not add another "Bolivarian peoples congress" to the mess and say, "Look! Look at us! We are moving forward!"
