HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

General Motors is recalling close to 500,000 vehicles for three different issues.

The automaker is recalling nearly 467,000 four-wheel drive Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups, as well as GMC Yukon and Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban SUVs for a transmission problem.

Two other recalls involve windshield wipers in the Chevrolet SS and Caprice police cars, and defective shock absorbers in Chevy Corvettes.

This follows the recent recall by GM of 430,000 vehicles for shocks, wiper systems and transmission software.

Meanwhile, a group of GM car owners are suing GM because all these problems make re-sale of their cars difficult.

But why in the hell would anyone want to buy a GM product? They're getting as bad as they were back in the '70s.
